PrimorskoPrimorsko is situated south of Bourgas and it's famous for its 10 kilometers long sandy beach, the longest on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. This resort is known as a place which is preferred by young Bulgarians who come here and stay in the big number of rest homes, hostels, student dorms and campgrounds. Here is the so called 'International Youth Resort Center (MMC)' which still attracts thousands of yuong people. The centre of the small town of Primorsko is urbanised but the MMC and nearby areas on the water are pleasant. If you happen to find cemeteries picturesque, there is an especially peaceful plot perched on the top of the bluff overlooking Primosko's beach. There are many small cafes, discos that open all night long and cheap places to eat Accommodation is available among the high number of small family hotels and rooms in private houses. In 1998 Primorsko was awarded the prestigeous Blue Flag by the Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe - a recognition of the purity of the nature in its region. Ropotamo river is n the vicinity of Primorsko. Ropotamo is one of the largest Natural reserves of Bulgaria. This reserve is is world famous for its rare birds and plants, that can be found only here. |
